Via CARTOON BREW: a rare pilot cartoon produced at the Fleischer Studio circa 1942. A one of a kind Traveltoon. For more information visit www.cartoonbrew.com.

As a fan of the Fleischer’s, my heart almost skipped a beat when I saw the headline at Cartoonbrew. So many questions! Like these from their article:

Was the film perhaps a contractual obligation of the studio, produced for the Miami Chamber of Commerce, as part of Fleischer’s deal to re-locate to Miami?

Why does the film feel so cheap?

Why the absence of music in the main body of the film?

Why are their no credits whatsoever?

Was this done by a group of ex-Fleischer artists as a sample film, perhaps to start their own Miami studio after Paramount took over Fleischers?

It has a very unfinished feel to it. So many questions. An intriguing and wonderful discovery! Thanks and a hats off to Cartoonbrew for sharing!

The worst Super Bowl party ever? Watch Dave, Oprah and Jay in this super commercial.

I didn’t expect to see this! Leno and Letterman? Together? Promoting Dave’s show? On CBS? Who in Hell thought of this? Who in Hell was able to pull it off? Who in Hell called the ambulances for the NBC execs having coronaries after seeing this? Fan-friggin’-tastic!
