This has not been a good week for those involved with “Commander in Chief.” First, all the publicity about their misstep with the folks in King George’s County, Maryland. Now, ABC kicks them while they are down. It has been quite a fall for “Commander in Chief.” It debuted to good ratings and good reviews. It looked like ABC had a hit. Then what often happens with good shows happened… the bean-counting, pencil-pushing, cushy chair executive morons began their “strategic” moves. “Commander in Chief” got shoved into preemption for months for “special” reasons. Granted, part of it was due to production delays. Much of it was due to stupidity. I have not seen a show so bungled and so mishandled since FOX’s shredding of “Firefly.” What those few creative souls in Hollywood can struggle to create, the ever present boneheads can easily demolish.

ABC has not officially used the word “cancelled” regarding the show. However, it is extremely unlikely, given all the turmoil surrounding the show behind the camera and the uphill climb to regain its ratings footing, that ABC will have the courage to try again. I mean let’s face it, what networks really have any balls today?

Well, it’s not TECHNICALLY cancelled yet, so tell ABC what you think:

Though not perfect, CnC was a helluva lot better than most of what the “big” nets have been offering on television. Like I said, ABC muffed this just as FOX muffed “Firefly.”
