I can see it now. The producers and powers behind the “hit” television mundramedy “Desperate Housewives” are all sitting silent around a huge table. Suddenly, one of them quietly proposes a possible solution to the problem of slowly dwindling ratings, “How about… you know… getting someone new… you know… for the cast that can… you know… actually act?”
And, thus, the report that someone who can actually act is being added to “Despecrate Housewives.” The main problem I see with this possible “solution” is that Laura Dern is going to show how really lousy a bunch of actors the rest of the cast is. Of course, that would not take much. I mean, I know “cheesecake” is popular, but I mean really…
The good news for Eva Longoria is that it might mean a few less onscreen baths for her character. She takes many more and she’ll be a candidate for Hollywood Prune Queen.
And this is the American television that Ricky Gervais gushed about? The man must gorge on “cheesecake.”
She isn’t much to look at thats for sure.
Laura Dern to Join Desperate Housewives…
Desperate for acting…….
Laura Dern is my all time favourite actress. Her acting accomplishments far outweigh Terri Hatcher or Eva Longoria’s. Laura Dern is amazing at what she does and chooses her characters because they are strong characters. From what I hear this show does need something to pick it up and change pace a little,I think Laura is just what they need. She is absoloutely gorgeous and if she decides to star in the series I fully support her decision and know she will bring depth to the role she chooses and a new “freshness” to the show. If Laura does this it just may turn out that Desperate Housewives may have a new fan on their hands.
