Jon questions Davis’ motives, leading to increased tension. Falling ill, Jon flashes back as we see moments of his past, including the death of his wife. Davis leaves Fairfield in search of Sanctuary, Jon and Darcy now man the outpost alone.

It is based on my own experience of making “Food For Thought” (vimeo.com/63603205), a short animated film I made at SVA.

The newly formed group comes upon an abandoned outpost known as Fairfield. The group makes friends with Carl, an eccentric man living at the outpost. Upon a battle with Infiltrators, Davis decides to set up a base at Fairfield. Chad doesn’t agree with the decision to follow the military, and sets out on his own path.

The Kid sets up our intrepid “heroes” in the backyard for a little harmless target practice, but there’s no full metal jacket to keep them warm in this Hanoi Hilton because war is hell, this is no Hamburger Hill, and the fact that the casualties of war in this platoon were not born on the fourth of July is a bright and shining lie.
