Produced for the Unity project at Mass Force Records – massforcerecords.com. A tale of betrayal of trust and love.

If you want to see the possibilities of iClone, watch this. Even if you’re not really into electronica or techno music, watch this. WarLord does an excellent job of putting iClone through its paces and showing the visual possibilities movie makers have at their disposal. I enjoyed this thoroughly… and, yes, I liked the music. Visually and musically a very nice production.

The official machinima music video for Avenged Sevenfold’s hit single, “Welcome to the Family,” from their new album, “Nightmare,” (in stores 7/27/10) and featuring a never before seen cut of footage from Activision’s upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops.

I was somewhat hesitant to post this since I am not a fan of Avenged Sevenfold. Actually, I think their music closely resembles the sound an orc makes as it is being cleaved clean through by a dull broadsword while simultaneously having its nuts crushed in a vise. This particular track, however, for whatever reason brought back memories of Ronnie James Dio’s “Holy Diver.” Strange, but that is the song that almost instantly came to mind. Anyway… this machinima-ized video of Avenged Sevenfold’s “Welcome to the Family” was done by Machinima.com so I thought it could serve as an example of how, again, machinima can be utilized in many different, unique and versatile ways for many different purposes.

If you’re not into electronica, techno, trance or other similar music, you’ll probably want to pass on this. And I can’t say that the “visual representation” by The Spotlight Studio is exactly electrifying. In fact, I do wish it had taken full advantage of Moviestorm’s capabilities. However, this was made to highlight the musical piece and maybe the point is not to take attention away from the music itself. Regardless of what MTV might want to say about it, music is still very much an audio art and the music by Massforce is good… and maybe that is all that matters.

Yep, another Second Life music video that caught my attention. Catchy song. Good machinima.

An interesting and quite engaging music video made in the metaverse of Second Life. And, if the fact that it is a music machinima not enough, the music is damn good.

Below is more information directly from the official Loverush UK YouTube site.

THE FIRST OFFICIAL MAINSTREAM SECOND LIFE MUSIC VIDEO

You simply can’t get away from the word Loverush UK! they have transformed into a massive nu breed in the space of two and half years.

Back in 2008 they unleashed their massive anthem “Different World” which captivated the electronica market and become an instant classic, with the likes of Paul van Dyk heavily supporting the single throughout the summer on his German Radio Show.
The Kinky Roland mix at the time was the forefront and thanks to Darrin Brindle who endured a clever thought of bringing some of the hottest pop ‘n’ lock dancers of the US together for the video and flying Shelley Harland to Texas to shoot the advanced video which also featured Philip “PacMan” McCheeb (from the Fox hit series “So You Think You Can Dance”).

Shortly after Loverush UK! had a string of successes with hit after hit on the electronica market with the sensational “Fountains Of Youth” with Molly Bancroft a single that reached No.2 twice on the influential Music Week Upfront Club Chart and even became 12 biggest record of 2008 in the Music Week Annual Club Chart. Shortly after it was “5 Reasons” a single that teamed up with NYC dance floor diva Sylvia Tosun, the single followed in the heart of “Fountains Of Youth” reaching No.2 in the Music Week Club Chart, No.7 in the Billboard Club Play Chart and even hit No.1 Record Of The Year in the DMC Update Club Chart.

In 2010 alone Loverush UK! have kept up the pace this time teaming up with an artist who rarely does dance tracks, but when she does you simply know you will have a classic anthem in the making. “Give Me Your Love” featuring Carla Werner (the voice and writer of the Oakenfold international No.1 hit “Southern Sun”) carried on where “Fountains Of Youth” and “5 Reasons” left off, hitting No.2 in the Music Week Club Chart and No.1 on the DMC Charts.
It’s still heavily featured on the radio airwaves in the USA and was even supported by the World’s No.1 DJ Armin Van Burren.

As you can imagine the pure quality you get from the Loverush UK! boys and the artists they work with, are songs you will simply fall in love with.

Now with much anticipation Loverush UK! are back with the anthem that caused them much attention the sensational “Different World 2010″ with Shelley Harland. Once again they have advanced their massive trance anthem into a huge sing-a-long summer anthem which is now getting massive support from Tiesto. The question is how could Loverush UK! up their game with the video? Well the boys have done it this time with a massive production team. Emilyan, Andre, Amanda, Pite, Claire and MyBrains, this time using the massive virtual world of Second Life.

Loverush Digital has been building a solid fan base when they launched their club over 6 months ago, so it felt right to have the fan base get involved in this amazing video for the 2010 version of “Different World”.

The gang have cleverly incorporated Loverush UK! and Shelley Harland into the world and the result to say the least is captivating and really captures the pure essence of the club.

Considering that most of the newer “talent,” and I do use that term very loosely, emerging today is total crap, Little Boots was a bit of a surprise. There’s a little of a retro feel, a bit of electronica and, yes, even evidence of a hip-hop influence. Yet it all comes together… most of the time. This particular number is one where it does all come together.

Harry Chapin was, perhaps, the best musical storyteller or balladeer this country had seen in many, many decades. There has not been anyone since who has managed the delicate blend of music and story as well as Harry. His concerts were not just entertaining, they were fun. He was fun. I miss him to this day.

Back with another winner from their latest album “Need You Now.” I like their sound. I’ve heard some compare them to or call them a “poor man’s Dixie Chicks.” I disagree. There ain’t nothin’ “poor” about ‘em. And, yes, my musical tastes are best described as eclectic or diverse.

I’m On Fire

Yep, still listening to Bruce. This is one of my favorite, more moody Springsteen songs.
